In order to optimally organise teaching, research and patient care, Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin has founded 17 "Charité Centres" (CC). More than 100 clinics and institutes work in the centres:

Experimental and Clinical Research Center (ECRC), a joint centre for translational clinical research of Charité - Universitätsmedizin and the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC), Berlin.
The Charité rescue centres are organisationally part of CC 10.
